The Roaring Fork Campus inducted 23 new members to its chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society of the two-year college. An induction ceremony was held Friday, Mar. 27 with the inductees and about 50 friends and family members.

The students represented a wide mix of backgrounds, with five foreign countries represented (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Senegal, and Myanmar). About two-thirds of the inductees were traditional age students, with the remainder being returning adults, some with children in tow.

The induction ceremony in the lobby of the Glenwood Center consisted of the traditional white roses and white candle. When the students each got up to receive their PTK Certificate of Membership, they thanked their supporters, and some mentioned their future academic plans.

Congratulations to the inductees!
