Your bucket list: Garry Zabel’s Grand Canyon field trip course

Colorado Mountain College once again offers the popular Geology Field Trip course to the Grand Canyon with Professor Emeritus Garry Zabel.

The field course dates are from May 25-June 5. The course offers students not only the chance to complete a rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon, but also the opportunity to earn three credits in geology.

Pre-trip classes are held May 15 and 22 from 6-9pm at the college’s Rifle Campus (and via IVS to other CMC campuses). A Glenwood Springs local hike is held and on May 17, 9am-3:30pm.

The field trip itinerary includes stops in Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and Zion before the rim-to-rim, five-day backpack trek across the Grand Canyon. For more information, please contact Garry at 970-948-5194. Individuals can register at any CMC site for Syn. #83975.
