Population, environment expert to speak at CMC Breckenridge

Hannah Evans of Washington D.C.’s Population Connection will present "Population Dynamics and Human Rights" at Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge at 6 p.m. on Nov. 14. The presentation will be approximately 45 minutes long, with about a half hour for questions and discussion. CMC sustainability students will present their capstone projects starting at 4:30 p.m., prior to the lecture.

1000 Words: Fill out a FAFSA form, win a pair of CMC skis

Who knew you could win a pair of skis during biology class? Hannah Bussy, a Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge student, center, got a big surprise when Dave Askeland, CMC vice president and campus dean for Breckenridge and Dillon, left, and financial aid specialist Stephanie Beste arrived at the end of class on April 4. They surprised Bussy with a handcrafted pair of skis made by CMC Steamboat Springs ski and snowboard business students. Bussy won the skis in a drawing after she attended a workshop and filled out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
