Bauhaus-inspired art and design at CMC Aspen

“My Dream House.” Carol Loewenstern is one of 40 artists who have contributed work to “Return to Simplicity – Bauhaus inspired art + design.” A public reception will be held 5-7 p.m. June 13 at CMC Aspen. Loewenstern, a longtime Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley local, said she created this piece years ago after being inspired by the Bauhaus movement.

Salida officials tour CMC campuses

At the Jan. 30 meeting of the Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees, the trustees met with a delegation of about 20 from Salida, including Salida School Board members, school district administrators, school principals and several elected officials. The group was on a multiday visit to the college, including stops at campuses in Leadville, Vail Valley at Edwards, Glenwood Springs and Aspen.
