Colorado Mountain College’s student-run radio station recently relaunched RadioCMC.com, the website that allows the college’s station to be heard anywhere.
Matthew Fisher, one of RadioCMC’s work-study students, developed the new site during the 2017 spring semester. The goal was to create a more professional site that provides an improved way for the station’s audience to engage with RadioCMC online.
The site contains mobile-friendly web streams that allow listeners to tune in to the station’s 24-hour programming. Listeners can also use the site to access all of RadioCMC’s educational and entertaining podcasts, including shows like “Inside the Mountain,” which provides an inside look into CMC from students, faculty and staff; “Aspen Real Life,” with information on who to know, where to go and what to do in the Roaring Fork Valley; “Small Business Spotlight,” about the Roaring Fork Valley’s business community; and many others.
Other features of the revamped site include an easy-to-use contact form to book studio time, ask about a song or show, or send the station a public service announcement or news release. The site also has exclusive podcasts and blogs created by CMC students and employees, as well as community members, and links to all of RadioCMC’s active social media profiles like Facebook, Instagram, SoundCloud and Twitter.
RadioCMC’s live broadcast is accessible anytime at 93.9 FM in Glenwood Springs, 93.1 FM in Basalt and El Jebel, 102.7 FM in Aspen and 96.7 HD2 in Carbondale, or online anywhere at radiocmc.com/listen or with the TuneIn radio app.
