MSC teacher ed information session at CMC campuses

The Mesa State College teacher education program will host information sessions at three Colorado Mountain College campuses in November.

The program advisor will hold group orientation meetings and individual advising sessions to explain how to complete the Mesa State Elementary Education degree at each location.  In this outreach model, students may complete the required licensure coursework at a distance.  This program is for those who want to serve the children of their community through teaching without having to relocate or commute long distances.

Colorado Mountain College and Mesa State College collaborate on a program that delivers the courses and experiences you need to teach elementary school in Colorado.  This is a rigorous four-year Bachelor of Arts program that provides a background in general liberal arts and education, state teaching licensure, in-depth field learning and mentorship, and professional portfolio development.

Please contact the college counselor at each Colorado Mountain College campus for the detailed schedule and to make an advising appointment.

The schedule for the education advising visits is:

  • Nov. 2: Alpine Campus in Steamboat Springs – 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Nov. 11: Vail-Eagle Valley Campus in Edwards – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Nov. 12: Spring Valley Center near Glenwood Springs – 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
