Last fall, Colorado Mountain College Sustainability Studies students Ben Saheb and Jenna Wirtz took part in a three day trip over the American Southwest with Ecoflight, an environmental advocacy organization that uses small aircraft to fly students, conservationists, media, policy makers and concerned citizens above landscapes impacted by clear-cuts, strip mines, gas and oil drilling and beetle infestations. Their goal is to encourage an environmental stewardship ethic among all citizens by affording them an aerial perspective of resource extraction in the United States.
Saheb captured his experience with some beautiful, thoughtful and inspiring footage. Click the link below to take flight with Ecoflight: Saheb’s creative filming makes you feel you were there.
