Leadership Summit seeks applicants for fall 2015 start
Leadership Summit 2016 is accepting applications for participation in its annual leadership program. Current and emerging leaders who live and/or work in Summit County are encouraged to join the ranks of more than 160 alumni and prominent leaders who have participated in the program since its inception in 2004.
The program guides participants on a nine-month journey filled with opportunities for growth, professional development and networking with area leaders, while exploring the critical challenges facing our businesses and community. Applicants will be selected from a diverse group of individuals from across the county, representing a wide variety of professions and backgrounds.
Leadership Summit 2016 begins September 2015 and continues monthly through May 2016, with one full-day session each month. The communities within the county serve as the classroom as participants explore topics including health, transportation, local government, education, public safety, nonprofits and more. Each session challenges participants to enhance their management and leadership skills through interactive exercises. Participants learn through various channels, including presentations given by prominent leadership spokespersons within the public and private sectors and a monthly, hands-on workshop facilitated by a leadership consultant.
“The success of the program is measured by the positive effect on the participants, their organizations and our community,” said Suzanne Price, program director for Leadership Summit.
