CMC holds registration for GED prep, basic skills classes

Colorado Mountain College helps adults improve their lives, job opportunities

The Colorado Mountain College Adult Learning Labs in Glenwood Springs and Carbondale help adults who want to improve their basic academic skills, improve job opportunities or advance to college-level classes.

The labs are there to help members of the community improve their reading, writing and math skills; improve their English listening and speaking skills; or prepare to take the GED test. Learning Lab classes are held days and evenings, and are open to students over 17 years of age.

Classes are held in Glenwood Springs at the CMC Glenwood Center in the mornings Monday through Thursday (9-11:50 a.m.), and in the evenings Tuesday and Thursday (6-8:50 p.m.). Classes are held in Carbondale at the CMC Lappala Center Wednesday mornings only, 9-11:50 a.m.

Registration will be held and classes begin at the Glenwood Center on Aug. 25 at 9:00 a.m. and Aug. 26 at 5:00 p.m. Registration will be held and classes begin at the Lappala Center in Carbondale Aug. 27 at 9:00 a.m. Information regarding schedules, costs and information regarding GED testing will be available at those times.
