Joseph Gamble is a professional photographer and a professor of photography at the Isaacson School for New Media at Colorado Mountain College, and the public will soon be able to enjoy his photos in Glenwood Springs. His work embraces commercial, editorial and fine art applications, and has appeared in numerous venues including The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor and NationalGeographic.com.
Gamble’s CMC ArtShare Gallery exhibit, “Moments in Place,” focuses on his travel and street photography, which he said has evolved into a studied approach. “I think now I am a photographer that seeks and hunts a picture that is specific to me,” he said.
An artist’s reception for Gamble will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the CMC ArtShare Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public. Gamble’s photographs will be on display at the gallery from Sept. 3 through Oct. 28. You can listen to a description of his work process for the project here.
The CMC ArtShare Gallery is at 802 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and is closed Sunday. Contact CMC ArtShare Director Alice Beauchamp at 947-8367 or abeauchamp@coloradomtn.edu for more information.
