Ever wonder what the best timing is to sell your books? Follett, our textbook partner, has recently received the booklists from schools all over the country for the Spring 2012 semester. This means that Follett now knows what books they need to fill their shelves in order to fulfill student demands for the upcoming semester. The last week of the semester is the best time to sell those books to Follett. When you show up for Book Buyback at any of the campuses you will meet with a Follett representative who will assess the physical condition of your book and pay cash for your books. Of course, Follett can only buy back the books they need for the upcoming year. If Follett can’t use your textbook, call the store and we’ll give you a list of other options that may help you sell your books. It’s important to note that Follett will buy back books at any time of the year if they are looking for that text.
What if you can’t make it to a campus to sell back your books? We have good news. You can go to www.eFollett.com and find the information to sell books back to the company. There’s more good news. There’s no charge for shipping. You will be directed on the website to print a shipping label which you attach to the box. The downside to this process is that you will have to wait for Follett to cut you a check and send it by snail mail.
For Spring Valley students:
If you have any questions, please call us at the Eagle’s Nest Campus Store. One of our primary jobs is to be sure students are comfortable with the book buying/selling process. If you run into any questions about the eFollett website, we are happy to help you navigate the system. If you have questions about any aspect of college textbooks, please call.
NOTE: The bookstore at the Spring Valley campus has moved! Come see us in our new location on the east side of the cafeteria, next to the library on the Spring Valley Campus. The store just received a new, large freezer and will be offering Blue Bunny Ice Cream Bars and lots of other goodies. We have a beautiful new coffee shop with a fireplace that provides a comfy mountainside gathering spot. It’s a really nice place to watch the snow fall (while you study, of course).
