CMC Outdoor Education grad Bobby Layman works through TBI to help others

SILT — On Dec. 23, 2003, Bobby Layman, then 16 was skiing his last run of the day at Snowmass when he flew off a jump, spun a 360, and landed brutally on his head and chest.
He was left unconscious. His heart had stopped.
He suffered from a traumatic brain injury and bruised his left lung. Doctors told the Layman family he could die, or at best never walk or talk again, that he’d remain in a vegetative state.
