Veteran geologist Garry Zabel is leading a four-day field trip this spring to the popular desert destinations, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
This two-credit geology course is open to all students across the college. The pre- and post-trip classroom lectures are available via the Interactive Video System at all campuses. The field trip is Thursday through Sunday, April 3 to 6.
Students will consider the geologic forces that created these stunning natural wonders. The itinerary also includes stops at Deadhorse Point, Upheaval Dome, Island in the Sky and the Needles District.
