New snowboard business offers products

Classes at Colorado Mountain College lead to business startup

Patrick Mihalic shows Pure Life snowboard
Snow enthusiasts attending a recent showing of the latest Warren Miller film at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge were able to view these Pure Life snowboards on display in the lobby. The snowboards, made from bamboo with carbon fiber inserts, are the brainchild of Patrick Mihalic (pictured), after he completed several business and marketing classes at the college.

A new start-up business in Breckenridge, Pure Life Snowboards, has been launched.

Patrick Mihalic formed the company after completing several business and marketing classes at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge. Mihalic said instructor Robert Cartelli’s class “helped me to think outside the box and gave me more confidence in how I would run an international business.” A 30-page business plan includes prices, target market, location and the types of goods the company plans to sell.

Mihalic said snowboards are made from bamboo with carbon fiber inserts. Skateboard shoes, t-shirts, hoodies and other apparel are in stock. New snowboard models are arriving and are available for demo.
