At least nine athletes competing at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver have taken classes at Colorado Mountain College. Eight of them are competing for the US, while another is competing for Team Canada, though he lives in Vail. Because of its location, the Colorado Mountain College region draws world-class athletes who come to train at altitude and compete in international events. Whether earning a degree, keeping up with studies while they train, or gaining skills that will help them after their competitive days come to an end, Olympic athletes through the years have turned to Colorado Mountain College for their learning needs.
The NBC website list biographies and competition information for the following past and present CMC students who are competing in the Winter Games (Check the schedule and cheer them on!).
