1000 Words: Colorado champions – CMC apprentice chefs

Colorado Mountain College Culinary Institute’s apprentices took first place – for the second year in a row – at the American Culinary Federation Student Team Colorado State Competition at CMC Breckenridge on Dec. 4. The program partners with Keystone Resort, where the students conduct their apprenticeships at some of Keystone’s top kitchens. Beating out two other teams, CMC’s students were judged on their skills, technique, focus while working in the kitchen and the delicious meal they produced. The winning apprentice team is, from left, Mac Christl, Brooklyn Knutson, David Vizcaino, Fernando Saldivar, Daniel Molina and Sylvaking Addo.
