A degree for our time

Karen Onderdonk, who earned a bachelor’s degree in leadership and management in May, was a natural choice to give the student address for CMC Leadville and Salida’s 2020 virtual commencement. As the chief branding officer at St. Vincent Hospital and an experienced professional, she demonstrates the breadth of learning that takes place at the college.

Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge student and Leadville resident Sean Fay pedals one of his RailRiders bikes. The bikes are used in France and Portugal, and some parts of the U.S. RailRiders produces some of the only wheels that conform to railroad track specifications.

Colorado Cup reaches 10-year milestone Jan. 25

The Colorado Cup Snowshoe Races on the Nordic trails surrounding CMC Leadville provide fun for all types and ages of competitors, such as here in 2018. This year’s event on Jan. 25 will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming 2020 Dion Snowshoes USSSA National Snowshoe Championships taking place Feb. 28-March 1, also at the campus.
