Sharing wisdom – direct from the Holocaust

Dr. Edith Eger’s memoir, New York Times bestseller “The Choice: Embrace the Possible,” is the 2019 Common Reader selection at Colorado Mountain College. A Holocaust survivor, Eger will give presentations at CMC Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs and at Battle Mountain High School in Edwards on Oct. 9 and 10, respectively. The Oct. 9 talk with also be livestreamed.

Frances Moore Lappé keynote speaker at CMC Sustainability Conference

Renowned writer and activist Frances Moore Lappé will give the keynote address at the Colorado Mountain College Sustainability Conference at 6:30 p.m. April 16. Author or coauthor of 19 books including the classic “Diet for a Small Planet,” Lappé is a leading activist in the areas of hunger, poverty and the environment. CMC’s conference starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Vail Valley at Edwards campus at 150 Miller Ranch Road.
