Summer Camp at CMC

Colorado Mountain College in Rifle, in partnership with the El Pomar Foundation, held a summer camp for middle school students last week to help spark their interest in future careers. Students at the Rifle camp, titled “Crazy Scientist Week,” explored biofuels and natural gas, green chemistry, social equity and health careers and solar cell production. Below are a few photos capturing students at work in Chris Ellis’ “Solar Day” lab. Additional summer camps, hosted by the CMC Roaring Fork campus and exploring media and technology continue this week and next at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School in Carbondale.
