Passports needed for preparatory meeting Sept 12
An excursion to East Africa through Colorado Mountain College offers the opportunity to trek on Mt. Kilimanjaro, view wildlife in Lake Manyara and Serengeti National Parks, and learn about the local Maasai culture.
Through its International Programs, for the first time Colorado Mountain College is offering the 5-credit course East Africa Abroad. The class involves travel to East Africa Dec. 31, 2012-Jan. 14, 2013.
The pre-trip meeting is Sept. 12, at the college’s campus in Leadville. A current passport and four passport photos are required at this initial meeting.
Students can earn college credits in world regional geography, trekking and basic mountaineering.

Other courses offering study abroad through the college this year are Spanish Immersion in Madrid and Granada (spring semester), Cuban Revolution in the 21st Century (spring break 2013), Spanish Immersion in Peru (summer semester), and International Business and Literature in Ireland (summer semester).
