CMC, RFTA, Aspen and Glenwood Springs to build electric vehicle charging stations

Colorado Mountain College, the cities of Aspen and Glenwood Springs, and the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) will all be installing new electric vehicle charging stations in the coming year.

CMC received a grant that will allow the college to install five more charging stations to its central administrative office as well is its locations in Breckenridge, Carbondale, Leadville, and Rifle. You can learn more about the new charging stations in a recent Aspen Time’s article. CMC instructional chair and sustainability studies professor Adrian Fielder gets some nice press at the end of the article for his solution to the charge station sharing issues:  Fielder and other users exchanges texts to update other users when they’re finished with the charger.
