Leadership Summit, Summit County’s community leadership program, has graduated 16 community leaders from its 10th year. Sessions were held one day per month, from Sept. 25, 2014, through May 14, 2015.
Leadership Summit is a nine-month, highly interactive leadership enrichment program that seeks to develop and enhance the individual leadership abilities of emerging and experienced leaders residing in Summit County. The program, administered through Colorado Mountain College, also fosters collaborative and connective approaches to problem solving within Summit County’s communities.
Participants receive more than 60 hours of professional training on current leadership topics such as team building, leadership and learning styles, consensus building, conflict management, communication skills, trust building, problem solving and civic leadership. Local leaders and leadership consultants serve as the monthly trainers.
The class of 2015 consists of men and women from local businesses, government and nonprofit organizations, who have an interest in learning more about key issues facing our communities, developing relationships with other leaders in the county, making a difference in the future of the community in which they live and expanding their leadership skills.
This year’s graduates are Jen Barchers (Colorado Mountain College), Doug Berg (Doug Berg Insurance Agency) Jennifer Cawley (Storm Enterprises), Lindsey Cotton (Always Mountain Time), Gavin Dalgliesh (GoBreck), Scott Fortner (GoBreck), Dana Gillette (Bank of the West), Steven Hermann (Town of Silverthorne), Jerry Karl (Team Summit Colorado), Joy Klein (Summit Combined Housing Authority), Aleda Kresge (Affinity Wealth Management Group), Jackie Manguso (The Meridian Institute), Amber McCrackin (Ambiance Counseling Services), Brady McMillan (First Bank),Patrick O’Sullivan (Arapahoe Basin Ski Area) and Kathy Reed (CASA of the Continental Divide).
