Leadership Summit class marks graduation

June 21 was graduation night for members of Leadership Summit — 12 community leaders and Summit County residents who successfully completed 64 hours of session time over the past eight months. Leadership Summit educates and connects leaders to issues facing Summit County with the goal of motivating and inspiring its participants to a higher level of community awareness and involvement.

“Leadership Summit helped me grow both personally and professionally,” said Michelle Eddy, general manager for Tiger Run Resort and graduate of the Class of 2012. “Through this program, I had the opportunity to learn about the key issues of Summit County. Getting to know an incredible group of current and future Summit County leaders makes me more effective in my own responsibilities and expands my ability to influence positive change in my work and community. Simply stated, Leadership Summit has been an awesome experience.”

Members of the Class of 2012 represented Summit County’s corporations, professional services, health industries, social services, education services, and more.

The graduates from the Class of 2012 are: Michelle Eddy, General Manager, Tiger Run Resort; Nicole Fazande, instructional chair, Colorado Mountain College; Mary Gessner, director of analytics, Return Path; Cynthia Gordon, owner of Running Webs; Renee Imamura, associate broker for RE/MAX Properties of the Summit; Greg McCallum, broker/owner of Colorado Mountain Retreats Realty; Jackie McPheeters, broker/owner of Colorado Homes 4 All and chairman of Summit Association of Realtors; Erin Pfarr Mahoney, business manager for Medical Marijuana of the Rockies; Sharon Schoeffield, national sales manager for Beaver Run Resort; Albert Stowell, CEO of Chairman Asset management; Brandi Thompson, development specialist for Summit Community Care Clinic; and Kimberly Trembearth, new media and marketing manager for Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.

“The Leadership Summit program serves as an excellent opportunity for all those involved to learn about Summit County’s assets and its potential in critical areas, leading to a deeper understanding of the community at large,” said Suzanne Price, program administrator for Leadership Summit. “We applaud our 2012 graduates and look forward to working with the Class of 2013 scheduled to start in late September.
