GLENWOOD SPRINGS – CMC ArtShare and Carbondale Arts will present an artists’ reception for “Impressions In Ink” at the CMC ArtShare Gallery at Morgridge Commons in downtown Glenwood Springs Jan. 11.
Colorado has 20 state-certified Creative Districts. Colorado Mountain College and Carbondale Arts are curating a series of exhibitions that connect and promote artists from many of these districts. “Impressions In Ink” is the first in this series that features artists from the Carbondale Creative District, Steamboat Creates, Mancos Arts District, Crested Butte and others.
The Creative District certification process focuses on defining specific geographic areas that can attract artists and creative entrepreneurs to a community, infuse new energy and innovation, and enhance economic and civic capital.
The “Impressions In Ink” reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 11. Admission is free and appetizers and beverages will be served.
The CMC ArtShare Gallery is at 815 Cooper Ave., 2nd floor, Glenwood Springs. The exhibit will run Jan. 5 to Feb. 4.
