Fryingpan River paintings by Jocelyn Audette featured at CMC ArtShare Gallery reception

CMC ArtShare will present a public opening reception for the exhibit “Fryingpan River Reflections, Paintings by Jocelyn Audette” at the CMC ArtShare Gallery at Morgridge Commons on Friday, May 11.

The CMC ArtShare Gallery is featuring an exhibit of Jocelyn Audette’s oil paintings of the Fryingpan River. “Summer Flow” is among the paintings that will be on view at the opening reception at Morgridge Commons on May 11.

Jocelyn Audette, who spent 35 years in northern California and has traveled the world, fell in love with Colorado at the age of 12. Her dramatic oils convey her passion for the beauty of the Fryingpan River Valley. “Her frosty white winter landscapes are heavy with a rich texture of ice and snow, while her summer river scenes are so vibrant you can almost smell the musky reeds on the riverbank,” said Jeanne Golay, a CMC Foundation staff member who is coordinating the exhibit.

The opening reception for “Fryingpan River Reflections” will be 6-8 p.m., May 11, at Morgridge Commons, 815 Cooper Ave., 2nd floor, Glenwood Springs. Admission is free and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The paintings will be exhibited at the gallery, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., through June 27.
