Former CMC Trustee Wes Duran passes away

We are sorry to share that Wes Duran, CMC’s trustee from Lake County during 2007-2011, has passed away. His service to the college and its students was greatly appreciated, including as board treasurer.

Duran was a resident of Twin Lakes and a retired 30-year officer of the U.S. Air Force. He brought to the college knowledge earned through his three business degrees, extensive financial and managerial experience, and a background in criminal and constitutional law. He was a director of Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, Inc., and an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Buena Vista, Colo.
