FirstBank funds scholarships to Colorado Mountain College students

EDWARDS – Five students from Colorado Mountain College’s campus in Edwards have received scholarships funded by FirstBank.

Celia Franklin received the FirstBank First in Family scholarship. She will receive up to $2,735 for tuition, books and fees. In total, four students were awarded this particular scholarship for first-generation students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or associate degree at the college’s locations in Edwards, Spring Valley, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Breckenridge or Dillon.

In addition, Ryan Anson, Scott Benson, Bryan Gile and Kristen Medina received the FirstBank Community Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to $500 for part-time students and up to $1,000 for full-time students attending CMC in Edwards, Breckenridge or Dillon.

Ellen Moritz, president of FirstBank in Eagle County, said, “Education is an integral part of our annual community investment program.
