New food market offers fresh local food through the winter
Locavores, rejoice! This winter, you can purchase great local food in Edwards all winter long, thanks to the new Edwards Winter Market.
The new Vail Valley food market, based inside Colorado Mountain College in Edwards, will offer fresh produce, fruit, grass-fed meats, wild salmon, eggs, and honey along with prepared bread, pastries, cookies and gluten-free baked goods. If you want a quick pick-up you can also find lunch at the market, which will be offering fresh soups, sandwiches and other prepared delights.
You can check out the offerings from 10 AM- 2PM every Sunday afternoon, with the exception of December 30, through March 31. Not only will you be eating more sustainably, you’ll get to enjoy the delicious taste of locally sourced goods all year long.
