Noted plein-air artist Dan Young, who attended the Colorado Institute of Art, is committed to capturing the landscape on canvas. He will be sharing his expertise in a special two-day painting workshop at Colorado Mountain College in in Rifle Oct. 3 and 4.

The first morning will include a short lecture, and the remainder of the class will be spent out in the field.

As both a teacher and an artist, Young emphasizes the importance of working form life. He has exhibited at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, and is represented by galleries throughout the West, including Settlers West Gallery, Tucson, Ariz., and The Legacy Gallery of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jackson, Wyo.
