Colorado Mountain College to offer classes, registration in downtown Rifle

RifleCampusFlyer-226x300-@2xColorado Mountain College’s Rifle campus will soon offer class registration and a limited number of classes in downtown Rifle. This is in addition to classes it will continue to offer at the Rifle campus’s Encana Academic Center near the Garfield County Regional Airport, and in Parachute.

“To continue to meet community needs, we are leasing a space in downtown Rifle, called the CMC Downtown Rifle Academic Center, where we can offer a few classes and help people register for all classes that are offered through our Rifle campus,” said Campus Dean Rachel Pokrandt. The space will hold five classrooms, a faculty office and a registration window.

From 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 27, the campus will host a free public open house, with ice cream, entertainment and special guests. All members of the community are welcome to attend.

Starting this fall semester the new location, at 229 West Avenue, will host English as a Second Language and Spanish classes. In the spring, at the Downtown Rifle Academic Center the college plans to also offer exercise classes in the middle of the day and some concurrent enrollment courses for high school students.
