CMC trustees meet in Aspen, approve contracts and new strategic plan

At its Oct. 17 meeting in Aspen, the Colorado Mountain College Board of Trustees unanimously approved several agreements and contracts and approved the college’s new strategic plan.

Trustees voted to approve the following:

  • a Holy Cross Energy utility easement for the new building under construction at Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley
  • on second reading, a three-year lease of office space at the Leadville campus for a Workforce Center (this will come back to the board for final approval)
  • a contract for Verizon wireless “boosters” at Spring Valley.

In addition to approving these, the trustees unanimously accepted the college’s first quarterly financial report of the 2018-19 fiscal year.

Trustees also approved the final draft of the college’s new strategic plan, Reaching Greater Heights (2019-23). The plan will launch in January 2019, and builds on the success of the previous four-year plan.
