The Colorado Mountain College Foundation Board recently added three new members – Ed Brown, Roger Hennefeld and Ferdinand “Tito” Liotta, M.D. – all of whom reside in the Roaring Fork Valley.
The non-elected CMC Foundation Board, now at 18 members, oversees the nonprofit Colorado Mountain College Foundation, which supports the college through community engagement, innovative initiatives, fundraising campaigns and scholarship support.
Brown graduated from Yale University and has an MBA with distinction from Cornell University. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. He has extensive experience in private investments, banking and accounting.
Hennefeld has worked for Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel in Aspen since 1998. He has a bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He has been an equity trader and a fixed income and equity analyst in Washington, D.C.
Liotta is a physician, orthopedic surgeon and a partner at Orthopaedic Associates of Aspen & Glenwood Springs PC, where he has practiced since 1996. Board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine, he is widely published and is involved in many facets of clinical instruction.
In addition, the CMC Foundation Board voted in four new officers: Patty Theobald of Breckenridge for chair; Bere Neas of Steamboat Springs for vice chair; Peter Gilbert of Carbondale for treasurer; and Bob Ferguson of Snowmass for secretary. All four officers are now serving during the college’s 2015-16 fiscal year, which began July 1.
