Colorado Mountain College in Edwards recently appointed Chuck House as the new instructor and program coordinator for the college’s fire science program.
Kurt Keiser, the previous fire science program coordinator, retired in June after serving the college for 10 years.
House worked as a deputy and police officer for the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and Vail Police Department for 15 years. He started working with the Eagle River Fire District in 2000 as an assistant fire marshal and fire investigator.
He started teaching in CMC’s fire science program in 2003. Over the past three years, he has developed and adapted hybrid courses for teaching fire science at the college.
House has lived and worked in Eagle County since 1985, when he and his wife opened the Village Store at Beaver Creek.
