Spaghetti dinner to raise funds for families of CMC students injured in motor vehicle crash
On Friday, November 18th, Phi Theta Kappa and several other organizations will be hosting a charity spaghetti dinner at the Glenwood Center on Blake Ave. The purpose is to raise money for the families of students involved in the tragic accident that recently occurred near CMC’s Spring Valley campus.
The money raised will help the involved families with bills they have incurred because of the accident, as well as other expenses they have incurred during this difficult time in their lives. Phi Theta Kappa wishes to raise as much money as possible to help alleviate the financial burdens they may be facing.
Bring your family, friends, and anyone who might be hungry to the spaghetti dinner next Friday, the 18th. Phi Theta Kappa is hoping to have an even larger turnout than they had for the last spaghetti dinner they organized, which raised over $1000 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake of 2010. Phi Theta Kappa hopes to double that amount for those families in dire need of help.
The dinner will be featuring regular and gluten free pasta, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. There will also be a silent auction, courtesy of CMC’s Women’s Forum, and a raffle drawing hosted by CMC’s Vet Tech Club.
Please come and enjoy the spaghetti and the camaraderie; it’s all for a worthy cause.
