Adventurers share their stories at the Chief Theater in Steamboat

This article on Wednesday’s upcoming Adventure Showcase event was published in the Steamboat Pilot March 17. CMC alumni and adjunct outdoor faculty Luke Kimmes will be among the many inspiring Steamboat locals sharing recent adventures at the event. Kimmes will share tales from a 5200-mile canoe expedition across North America he completed with five friends in 2015. By Audrey Dwyer.

— Adventurers have a presence in Steamboat Springs, but often, it’s more subtle than one might think.

“They could be next to you in the grocery store line or gondola line,” said Eugene Buchanan, Steamboat Pilot & Today magazine editor, who created the idea for the Steamboat Adventures magazine. “You always hear about Steamboat’s Olympians and how many we have, but what you don’t hear about is all of these world-class adventurers that are out there doing these amazing things.” Click for full article.
