Association of Fundraising Professionals in Colorado honors Matt Spencer
The Colorado Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has named Matt Spencer, chief executive officer of the Colorado Mountain Colorado Foundation, as the chapter’s Outstanding Professional for 2011.
Each year the state AFP chapter honors outstanding fundraising members who practice their profession in an exemplary manner.
Spencer has been working in the fundraising field since 2000. He joined the CMC Foundation last year, leading his team since then to raise more than $2.5 million in cash and commitments. The CMC Foundation raises funds in support of student scholarships, cultural enrichment, faculty support, academic programs and capital projects at the college.
Spencer also volunteers as a leader in the Colorado AFP chapter, serving on the board of directors and mentoring committee.
