Dr. Jan Botha, a colleague from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, will be visiting Colorado this week, and has kindly offered to have a conversation with CMC about higher education in South Africa. He is from Stellenbosch University, about an hour out of Capetown, in the beautiful wine country there. Stellenbosch University is the oldest university in South Africa, and offers some programs likely to be of interest to CMC: Viticulture (wine agriculture and wine-making); Food Science, Conservation Ecology, and Forestry. His expertise in quality also aligns with our institutional AQIP focus.
This will not be a highly formal presentation–Jan will provide some remarks about his experience as a higher educator in South Africa, and take questions from us. Classes and colleagues are all very welcome to this opportunity.
Please join us at Central Services in person or through Tier II IVS on Dec. 3 from 2 to 3 p.m. What an opportunity to expand our international relationships and knowledge in higher ed.
