Want to learn about information technology, or network with others in the field? Come to the free CMC Tech Symposia at 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, 1402 Blake Ave.
The public event will include talks on current information technology topics by IT professionals and faculty members, networking opportunities and an overview of the college’s updated associate degree and certificates in information technology.
The agenda includes:
6-6:45 p.m.: “A Day in the Life of an IT Tech,” a panel discussion on what activities constitute the scope of work for information technology professionals
6:45-7 p.m.: Meet and Greet, with refreshments
7-7:45 p.m.:“What’s New in IT,” a panel discussion on topics such as security, green IT and cloud computing, with IT directors from Valley View Hospital, the City of Glenwood Springs and CMC.
7:45-8 p.m: Overview of the information technology Associate of Applied Science degree and certificates at Colorado Mountain College
