A reception for “Watercolorists of the Colorado Creative Districts” at the CMC ArtShare Gallery at Morgridge Commons in downtown Glenwood Springs will take place on May 17. The exhibit runs April 30-June 24.
Colorado has 20 state-certified Creative Districts and Carbondale Arts is curating a series of exhibitions that connect and promote artists from these areas. CMC ArtShare is hosting the reception for this exhibit.
“Watercolorists” is the second in this series that features artists from the Carbondale Creative District, Steamboat Creates, Ridgway, Paonia and Grand Lake, among others.
Local artists include, from Carbondale, Robert Burch, Sarah Meyer, Brian Colley, Elisabet Rojas Capilla and Nicolette Toussaint; from Glenwood Springs, Gwen Hill; and from New Castle, Jane Seglem.
Artists from other districts include, from Grand Lake, Donna Lyons; from Paonia, Spencer Lightfoot; from Ridgway, Loretta Casler, Judy Hazen and Meredith Nemirov; and from Steamboat Springs, Deb Babcock.
The reception for “Watercolorists of the Colorado Creative Districts” on May 17 will run from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m. Admission is free and light refreshments and beverages will be served.
