Retro ruled when students, alumni, friends and current and former employees celebrated in style the 50th anniversary of Colorado Mountain College at the Leadville campus this spring.
Groundbreaking on the hill just south of Leadville was in April 1967, and classes started in October of that year. The Leadville campus, then known as the East Campus, was one of the first two original CMC campuses.
Throughout 2017, celebrations at all the CMC campuses are held, celebrations that are unique to each campus’s connection with the local community, as a way to say “thank you!”.
