“Conforming Series 2” by Sara Ransford, soda fired stoneware, 2010, will be one of over 70 works of art at “Celebrating Community We Share,” a collaborative exhibit of Anderson Ranch Arts Center and Colorado Mountain College students and faculty. The opening reception at the college’s campus is 5-7 p.m. on June 14. The exhibit, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the arts center and is in anticipation of the college’s own 50th anniversary next year, will be on display through Aug. 12.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Colorado Mountain College is hosting “Celebrating Community We Share,” a collaborative art exhibit featuring the works of 48 artists who are students or faculty from either institution. The college is on the verge of celebrating its own 50th anniversary, as well.

An opening reception with over 70 works of art will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 14 at Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen campus. The exhibit will fill the campus gallery, lobby and hallways with paintings, prints, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, woodworking, metalsmithing, photography and mixed media – plus a site-specific installation that climbs up the campus building’s main stairwell.

K Rhynus Cesark of Colorado Mountain College and Doug Casebeer and Genoa Faber of Anderson Ranch Arts Center curated the show, which is on view through Aug. 12. Colorado Mountain College in Aspen is located at 0255 Sage Way at the Aspen Business Center. Call 970-925-7740 for more information or visit andersonranch.org.
