Limelight employee honored by state industry group
Brenda Paredes, a Limelight Hotel housekeeping employee, was acknowledged for her hard work at the annual Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association Stars of the Industry Awards luncheon held Monday in Colorado Springs.
Paredes, who has been an employee at the Limelight Hotel for five years, was not only honored with a Stars of the Industry Award, but also won a two-night, one-meal stay at another winner’s property. The Limelight Hotel also won the Community Service Award.
“Brenda takes pride in her work on a daily basis and provides a product that is consistent or beyond the expectations of the Limelight Hotel,” said Peter Janss, the Limelight’s director of housekeeping. “She’s had numerous comment card mentions regarding her eye for detail and friendliness and is consistently recognized by guests as a true star performer.”
In addition to receiving the Stars of the Industry Award, Paredes was awarded with the Limelight Hotel’s Summer 2013 Employee of the Season, an award that is given biannually and encompasses all Limelight Hotel employees.
In her free time, Paredes regularly volunteers for Roaring Fork Habitat for Humanity and the Aspen T.R.E.E. This involves organizing the Habitat for Humanity warehouse and volunteering at the Aspen Thanksgiving community meal.
