This summer, Colorado Mountain College in Carbondale played host to three groups of very young inquiring minds. The Summer Advantage Program, a national initiative that creates summer learning opportunities, brought groups of local students to CMC.
Counselor Craig Farnum and Administrative Technician Linda Froning talked to young students about why people go to college, how college can help people and how college might fit into their education and career path. For most students, it was their first time visiting CMC.
Activities included a tour, introductions of college staff, a video and discussion, plus a chance for the kids to draw a map of their educational path starting from Kindergarten and ending with college.
