In total, four students were awarded the scholarship for first-generation students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or associate degree at the college’s locations in Edwards, Spring Valley, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Breckenridge or Dillon.

This is the first year FirstBank has funded the scholarship through the CMC Foundation. Erin O’Keefe, president of FirstBank in the Roaring Fork Valley, said, “Education is an integral part of our annual community investment program. FirstBank has donated millions to scholarship funds around the state to help ease the financial burden of higher education and make it more accessible to dedicated students. FirstBank is proud to partner with quality organizations such as CMC to help these students move a step towards their career goals and accomplish dreams of becoming a first-generation college grad.”
