A fundraiser begins tonight for William Meriwether, a former Colorado Mountain College photography instructor whose museum-quality platinum prints richly document the natural and human history of the American West. William has been battling cancer for several years, incurring large medical expenses.
His long battle with cancer has incurred large medical expenses and a benefit account in his name has been set up at Alpine Bank. A fundraising sale of matted prints and Mata Ortiz Pots will take place in Glenwood Springs March 26,27,28,29 at his home. Friends, Walter Gallacher, Fred Haberlein, Jack Green and Terry Glassenapp are assisting. For times, location and more information, call 945-6303 in the evening.
A few years ago, William and his wife Bobbie, a classical pianist, helped another CMC family (Marlo Williams/ Mary and Leo Williams) with a similar benefit at Spring Valley’s New Space Theatre.
