Earth Day events at CMC-Edwards
Colorado Mountain College’s campus in Edwards is hosting the Eagle Valley Earth Day Celebration with a free movie screening of “Vanishing of the Bees” and other Earth Day events on April 22.
The documentary examines the alarming disappearance of honeybees – and the greater meaning this holds about the relationship between mankind and Mother Earth. A family-friendly screening will take place in the auditorium from 4 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a second, general screening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A question-and-answer session with local beekeepers will follow the later screening.
The event also features dinner served by the campus’s Brainiac Café for $7.50, an art show, and sustainability exhibits and activities. The events will take place at Colorado Mountain College’s campus at 150 Miller Ranch Rd. in Edwards. The movie, art show and sustainability activities are free, and all events are open to the public.
