Met production of ‘Francesca da Rimini’ simulcast

Live high-definition simulcast at CMC Breckenridge

A live, high-definition simulcast of the New York Metropolitan Opera’s production of Zandonai’s “Francesca da Rimini” begins at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Finkel Auditorium at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge.

“Francesca da Rimini,” inspired by an episode from Dante’s “Inferno,” features doomed lovers in a work that author William Berger describes as a union of “raw emotion” and “the daring musicality of the early 20th century.”

The local presentation in high definition is made possible through a partnership between the college and the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge. More at 453-5825 or www.nromusic.com.
